The Mandalay Kongjiao School is located in Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar. The Confucian School was founded in February 1966 and has a history of 54 years. At the end of the autumn of 1987, the school formally established the Mandalay Kongjiao School School Board of Directors. The chairman led all the directors and local enthusiastic Chinese educators to carefully operate. The teachers ’salaries were paid by the students’ tuition and they were self-sufficient. In order to enable students to have a better learning environment, the board of directors raises funds from the community to build dormitory and improve the campus environment. There are four major campuses of Mandalay Kongjiao School, named Kongjiao School East Campus (Headquarters),Kongjiao School South Campus, Kongjiao School North Campus and Kongjiao School New Town (West) Campus.
The four districts of Confucian School enroll nearly 4,000 students each year. Among them, overseas Chinese accounted for 98%, and Burmese, Wa and other ethnic groups accounted for 2%. Birthplaces include Mandalay City, Myitkyina City, Lashio City, etc. The number of students and the number of classes in the four campuses are different, but the curriculum and teaching materials are unified and standardized: the curriculum includes Chinese, English, mathematics, society, nature, history, geography, Chinese culture, Pinyin and other subjects. The company's teaching materials are mainly (traditional), and the four courses of junior high school history, junior high school geography, junior high school culture, and pinyin use domestic published teaching materials (simplified). In addition to the assessment of teaching subjects, students will also assess the students' calligraphy level, composition level and pinyin letters.
Every year, Kongjiao School will hold various activities such as "Chinese Speech Contest", "Chinese Song Contest", "Calligraphy Competition", "Composition Competition", "Sports Meeting" and so on.
