Fuqing School was founded in November 1993 by the Mandalay Fujian Association. Formerly known as "Fuqing Palace Nursery", it started with five teachers and more than 100 students. Since then, the "adult crash course" has been held to meet the needs of the Myanmar (Chinese) social market and the school has grown from scratch to grow gradually.
In November 2003, when the school was 10 years old, the board of directors of Fuqing School carried out reforms and established an expanded board of directors, targeting all Chinese and overseas Chinese, absorbing new directors. "Fuqing Language and Computer School", referred to as "Fuqing School". In 2009, the school won the title of "Overseas Model School" issued by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. In 2010, it became the "Yunnan Overseas Cultural Exchange Center Myanmar Center" of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Yunnan Province.
School purpose:
1. Promote Chinese culture. Not only can Chinese Chinese learn Chinese, but also locals who are not Chinese can learn Chinese well. Therefore, "second language" (or "Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language") is adopted as the teaching method. Adopt "Chinese" teaching materials from Mainland China.
2. Develop human (talent) resources for the local area. Cultivate talents with bilingual skills and computer skills that contemporary young people must possess to benefit society.
Up to now (2020), Fuqing has 4 local teachers with Ph.D. degrees in Chinese linguistics and applied linguistics, and more than 60 local masters (mostly 'MTCSOL '); 27 local Chinese teachers After being reviewed by the Confucius Institute Headquarters(Hanban); there were also 6 “native Chinese teachers” who were appointed by the Confucius Institute Headquarters(Hanban) and officially became the Confucius Institute Headquarters(Hanban) ’s Local Chinese teachers'; Fuqing Confucius Classroom has become a large-scale local teacher team.
