The Dihou Temple School is located in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar, more than 160 miles from Mandalay. It takes four hours by car from Mandalay to reach Nay Pyi Taw. The temple was founded in March 2008, it is an orphanage, and there are some small monks. The youngest is 3 years old and the oldest is 25 years old. There is a government school near the temple. The children of the temple go there to study. Most of the children are Dai people. Starting from March 9, 2014, it has been established as a Chinese language teaching site. There are currently 2 Chinese classes. The classes are conversation class, basic class, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade and sixth grade. The number of students is 98, and they are locals aged between 7 and 25. The Chinese textbooks are the "Chinese" series of textbooks, "Chinese for Infants" and "Kindergarten Readers" edited by Beijing Chinese Language Academy and published by Jinan University Press. At present, not only teaching children in temples but also offering adult classes. Most of the students in the adult class are civil servants. The reason for learning Chinese is that some work in Chinese-funded enterprises, some are sent by their respective departments to study in China, and some are interested in Chinese. Some students passed the HSK grades 2 3 4 5 6 .
