On May 26, the 18th Chinese Bridge Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students hosted by the Confucius Institute Headquarters(Hanban) , hosted by the Chinese Consulate General in Mandalay, and co-organized by the Fuqing Confucius Classroom, Myanmar Mandalay The preliminaries for the division ended successfully. Consul Hu Yanfang, Chinese Consulate General in Mandalay, Associate Professor Li Yaling, Chinese Director of the Fuqing Confucius Classroom, Professor Du Qin Mi Mi, Director of the Chinese Department of Mandalay University of Foreign Studies, Vice Chairman of Jin Duoyan Women ’s Charity Society, Fuqing Women ’s Charity Society Chairman Li Suhua and Mr. Wang Yangjun, executive chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Mandalay, attended the event as judges. Teachers and students from Fuqing Confucius Classroom and people from all walks of life in Myanmar watched this competition.
A total of 22 contestants from many universities including Mandalay Medical University, Taunggyi Computer University, Mandalay University of Foreign Languages, and Yadenabeng University participated in this competition. They are all outstanding candidates after intense selection. The results of this contest are divided into three parts: the written test part, the "The World" theme speech contest, and the display of Chinese talents. The written test and keynote speech contest ended successfully on the 25th. In the keynote speech contests, some of the contestants' speeches focused on current issues, some of them sang eloquently, and some of them were true stories about the relationship with Chinese. The fluent Chinese language and the speech with full of emotions let everyone realize the beauty of beauty, the charm of Chinese in the world.
In the showcase of Chinese talents, the players were proficient in martial arts, various talents, and brilliant performances. It was really a group of talents from all walks of life: the rigid and soft Chinese dance, the solitary Guqin, the melodious Erhu, A variety of talented forms such as the pipa , the zither of the "article of the benevolent", the calligraphy, the tactful and interesting Huangmei opera, the distinctive Chinese songs, and the magnificent poetry recitation The wonderful performance won applause from the audience. The atmosphere of the whole auditorium was warm and the applause continued.
In the extra time, 6 players competed for the first, second and third prizes. Each person draws questions about Sino-Myanmar cultural exchange, and after a minute of thinking, it takes two minutes to answer. In the end, Jiang Tiangai, a contestant from Dongzhi Computer University, won the championship with his fluent Chinese expression, dance "Big Fish" and excellent written test results. Qiu Jingan from Laxu University and Lu Mingliang from Dongzhi Computer University won the second prize. The third prize winners were Yuan Shiya from Lashio University, Zhao Zhili from Mandalay University of Foreign Studies and Kunming Xiang from Mandalay University of Foreign Studies. Chen Zhiqiang and other 16 players from Mandalay Medical University won the encouragement award.
